Almost half of the world’s population are women, they are considered to be the backbone of society and moreover the character of a family. If she is ignorant then her family will be in the dark, however if she lives within the framework of Islam her family will be blessed with happiness contentment and peace and this will spread not only to her direct family but the society she engages in. Religious education is essential for a woman to lead a good and wholesome family life, without this she will face many problems. She needs to equip herself with the right knowledge and attitude to effectively face the challenges ahead.
Muslim men generally have an extensive social outlet to broaden their ‘Shareeah’ , though women especially in Sri Lanka have very little exposure to this. Understanding this short coming of our social structure, our village has been dreaming for several decades for a Girls Arabic College. By the grace of the Almighty and help of many kind hearted benefactors this has now become a historic reality in the village of Galhinna under the name of ‘DARUTH THAQWA'.
Our Aim
Our aim is to educate Muslim Girls enabling them to live according to the Shareeah by making them aware of the traditional and cultural values of Islam. To prepare them to call other women towards Islam.
